CuratedxKai provides access to virtual reality field trips in low-income school districts, so the onboarding process had to make sense for K-12 students and teachers alike. I conducted user research, user personas, information architecture, user flows, feature prioritization, prototyping, and usability testing. The UX Research process is documented in detail in the presentation included at the bottom of the page.
A year later I reached out to Kai, the founder of the company, and she told me that they had started actually using the onboarding guides I created and she had received positive feedback from teachers and parents. This response from Kai is why I am most proud of this project and reminds me why I enjoy UX Design in the first place. I had actually designed something from start to finish that was being used to make people's lives easier.
